Head of Strategy and Transformation
Function
Michelle is Head of the Strategy and Transformation office for the ESA Directorate of Operations. Since 2020, she is responsible for the strategic evolution of the directorate.
Background
Michelle has over 20 years of experience in the space industry, many of those in flight operations. Her missions have included MetOp at EUMETSAT, and the Planck mission at ESA's ESTEC. She joined ESA's European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) in 2009, her responsibility increasing from system engineer to deputy Spacecraft Operations Manager and Spacecraft Operations Manager for Sentinel-2. Michelle led the Operations Directorate cultural change initiative.
