Elevating the future of Europe since 1975: Where missions come alive.

Ticket sales for the ESA Open Day at ESOC are officially open. Join us on Friday, 12 September 2025, from 15:00 to 23:00 CEST, as the European Space Operations Centre in Darmstadt (Robert-Bosch-Straße 5, 64293 Darmstadt) opens its doors to the public for a special celebration.

This year’s Open Day commemorates 50 years of ESA, offering a rare glimpse behind the scenes of Europe’s mission control. Visitors will enjoy a 90-minute self-guided tour through the main ESOC establishment, including highlights like the Main Control Room, interactive exhibits, VR experiences, and short presentations on space safety, planetary exploration, astronomy missions and Earth observation. Entry slots to the main ESOC establishment will be staggered every 30 minutes starting at 15:00, with the last entry at 21:00.

Meanwhile, across the street visitors are invited to enjoy a vibrant outdoor programme with live stage events, an interactive children’s activity area, and food trucks —all designed to make space accessible and exciting for all ages. Activities in this area are open throughout the event without time restrictions, and ticketed guests are welcome as of 14:00 CEST.

More program details will be announced closer to the event date.
