Save the date: ESA ESOC Open Day 12th of September 2025
Mark your calendars! The ESA Open Day at ESOC is back and will take place on Friday, the 12th of September from 15:00-23:00 CEST, at the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt, Germany!
Under the theme "Elevating the future of Europe since 1975 - ESA ESOC – Where missions come alive " , this year's open day celebrates half a century of European space achievements, offering a rare opportunity to step inside Europe’s mission control centre.
Visitors will be invited behind the scenes of Europe’s space mission control to discover how ESA has transformed bold visions into reality over the past five decades — and how it continues to shape the future of space exploration, innovation and sustainability.
From live demos to interactive exhibits, the Open Day will offer a first-hand look at space operations. Guests will meet with the experts behind the missions, learn how we monitor and fly satellites, and experience the technologies that guide Europe’s interplanetary explorers. To top it all off, visitors will discover how our missions — including Astronomy, Planetary Science, Earth Observation, and Space Safety — are shaping our understanding of the Universe, and safeguarding our planet and our future in space.
Registration will open later this summer — stay tuned to this webpage and ESA’s social media channels for more details.
